Albert met us when we arrived even though it was quite late at night. The accommodation was great and very comfortable. The first day we took it to ‘relax’; We had breakfast and dinner on the roof terrace and in the afternoon, we took a short ‘siesta’ nap.

The second day we did the hiking trail that passes through Puerto Collado at 890m height and down to the old Fabrica de Luz of Cómpeta on the Torrox river. The weather was great, and we were able to enjoy the views from Cerro Lucero, over the Mediterranean Sea to Morocco in North Africa.

We were doing hiking trails all week with the help of Albert. We also really liked the trail of the Fábrica de la Luz in Canillas de Albaida, which passes through Puerto Blanquillo and back along the old smugglers trail to Cómpeta. The weather was great, and we were able to enjoy the views of Cerro Lucero and over the Mediterranean Sea to Morocco in North Africa.

After a wonderful week in our Tokyo apartment, we had to say goodbye. We shall surely come back again so we can hike more trails! Tomorrow we will go to the airport passing along the coast for lunch first and return the rental car. Time in Cómpeta has passed very quickly and we shall take this experience to Holland and share with friends.

Nice and spacious apartment in the centre of the village, against the Sierra Tejeda & Almijara Natural Park, ideal for our MTB routes. Spacious studio apartment Singapore with great amenities, also the storage/workshop for the bikes in the house was great. Also very tastefully decorated with Asian details.

Beautiful weather, beautiful region, good food and a very good atmosphere all-round, more than enough challenges in the mountains for a successful mountain bike holiday in Andalusia in a cosy, whitewashed mountain village with lovely and affordable restaurants around the village square.

The Granada Residence apartments have literally everything you need for a cycling holiday; a practical, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, a very spacious bedroom with large (180x200cms) beds and of course the beautiful roof terrace with barbecue and sun loungers. The mountain bikes we hired from Albert were great too, the storage/workshop at the ground floor was very handy! Albert, thank you very much for the personalized service, the transfers to the tracks in the Natural Park and the useful information about the region, the nice taverns along the way, the local shops and restaurants. Especially Sidartha on the Rock with good food in the big garden and friendly service.

Thanks again for facilitating our cycling holiday and taking care of us during our week in Cómpeta! You were the perfect host for us, giving us tips and assistance for bike routes, (non-bike) trips, food and drink, transportation, etc. The apartments at La Granada Residence were very cosy with international TV and spotless.

Cómpeta is a good base for beautiful bike rides from 45 to 130 km in the mountainous area. In short, a stay that I can recommend to all tourists, especially cyclists.

We would like to thank you for the great vacation we had in Competa thanks to you. We stayed for 5 nights from March 5-10, 2022, in the Tokyo apartment in the Residencia Granada, just around the corner from the village square. The apartment was fully equipped, clean, spacious and with a great view from the terrace.

We did some beautiful hikes directly from the apartment, we did a great road bike trip and a great MTB trip to the lost village of Acebuchal. After that, there was always delicious food in one of the good restaurants in Cómpeta. The breakfast in the town square was also excellent, but I was also able to have an excellent breakfast in the apartment. You have always given us good advice and helped us where you could. Cozy and relaxed. And the routes and tips were ready in the apartment in English. On our request, you took us to the starting point of the hiking or mountain biking route. Cómpeta is a good base from which to explore the beautiful surroundings. An attractive and authentic “white village”.

We travelled on bus from Malaga Airport to Cómpeta where Albert met us at the bus stop to bring us the accommodation, a rental car was not necessary. We highly recommend you this accommodation.

I have just returned from an extended stay, once again in Competa. I was fortunate enough to book Granada residence via Albert, the host. Albert is the kindest most obliging person I have ever met. There is nothing he wouldn’t do to make your stay a dream. The apartments are exquisite tastefully decorated in Tokyo style with everything you need. Lovely huge bed. Kitchen, TV, WIFI,beautiful shower, plenty of towels. Even a cute pellet burner if you stay in the cooler months. Also, the very large roof terrace is my favourite as a Sun worshiper, it has Sun all day with excellent views as far as the Sea.

I first came to Alberts back in 2017.And I have stayed at his place several times a year ever since.I believe it’s in the best position, just near to shops and the plaza, and spacious apartments to stay at.

Hiking from here is outstanding, The trail starts to Canilles de albaida just at the end of the road by the apartment. If you are a swimmer there is a nice municipal swimming pool that you can swim decent Lenths in for just 3 euros a visit.

Also need to mention that the rates for the apartments are very reasonable for the quality you get to stay in.

Granada Residence offers great value for money. We stayed in the deluxe studio which was tastefully furnished and had everything you could need for a short stay. The terrace had views over the town to the mountains and down to the Mediterranean. The apartment is centrally located just a short walk to the main square of Cómpeta and right beside one of the best restaurants of the village, El Pillon. There was public parking available close by. This accommodation is an ideal base for a hiking break in the spring and autumn with plenty of walks of varying degrees of difficulty on its doorstep. Our host was very helpful and quick to respond to queries.

Absolutely lovely place! The location in Competa is perfect: quiet yet less than 2 minutes walk to the central square. The common roof terrace is large, well-equipped and offers great views. The whole house is beautifully decorated.

Perhaps the best stay in Andalusia! Beautiful house with an Asian twist. We loved the décor, the roof terrace and the home feeling that you get when you stay at Albert’s Studio apartment Singapore. The room we had was on the first floor, very spacious and elegant, good comfortable bed, complete kitchen with fridge, coffee and tea facilities, the nice seating area with TV and a small table is a bonus.

The house is just one street up from the plaza – the heart of Cómpeta. Breath taking views of the village, mountains and the sea from the roof terrace! You want to have a breakfast there. I also must mention a very friendly owner that makes sure you are taken care of and gives you good tips 🙂 All was fantastic. Even the nearby parking facility 2 streets below the house.

The location and the apartment are simply great. I’d recommend staying there to anyone! The rooftop terrace and kitchen were awesome, we even had the chance to have a BBQ cook-out on the roof terrace. The view and the location are absolutely amazing, and the host was very helpful and kind. Thank you for having us!

Alberto and the Singapore apartment were fantastic. Albert met us upon arrival in the local plaza and brought us to the apartment, only 1 minute away and showed us our accommodation, spacious and Asian charm, very clean and had a fully equipped kitchen with fridge. We went to the plaza for a meal which Albert had booked for us and paid for our bottle of wine, thanks again Albert, lovely accommodation in the hart of the village and Cómpeta is a beautiful village. Free parking is only 5 minutes’ walk away in this beautiful ‘whitewashed’ village ❤️

Great apartment in a great location for a walking holiday and great service from Albert. Modern, clean, spacious, and well-equipped studio apartment Singapore in the centre of the village. A lovely rooftop patio was a great place to relax.

The owner, Albert, was very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was with a faulty heater and when he wasn’t able to fix it himself, Albert had an alternative solution up-and-running within 30 minutes.

It was a bit hard to find the property when we first arrived in the village. Our sat-nav had us driving round the tight hilly lanes of Cómpeta when the solution was to park in one of the three parking areas nearby and call Albert who came to collect us and we went to the apartment on foot, but this is a small quibble from an otherwise excellent experience at La Granada Residence.

I´m already looking forward to my next walking holiday and stay at La Granada Residence. Very cosy studio apartment with genuine Asian decor situated in the very centre of the village. It was lovely to wake up to the sound of the church bells and bit later hear the laughter from the children passing on their way to school.

The kitchen was well equipped and the beds VERY comfortable. In my experience it´s rare to get a bed in Spain that’s not stony firm with horrible artificial bed cover and linen smelling of strong perfumed washing detergent. At La Granada Residence the king-size beds where just the right, not to firm and not too soft. There was a lovely duvet and clean, cotton linen.
